A peaceful evening turned into a heartbreaking tragedy after a woman was murdered by a man she had met only minutes earlier. Authorities say 59-year-old Pamela Puskar lost her life shortly after firmly rejecting an indecent request from the stranger.
According to investigators, Pamela had gone to visit a friend at a nearby apartment. While there, she met 54-year-old Glenn Whittier for the first time. He asked her for cigarettes, and Pamela kindly agreed to walk back to her apartment so she could give him some.
However, once inside her home, things changed quickly. Police say Whittier suddenly made an inappropriate sexual request. Pamela, uncomfortable and shocked, refused him. Her final painful words, according to investigators, were, “You’re not touching me.”
Those words, spoken out of fear and self-defense, were sadly the last she ever said. Investigators believe Whittier became violent immediately after being rejected. Pamela was later found stabbed to death in her kitchen.
When friends couldn’t reach her the next morning, they became worried. Neighbors forced open her door and discovered the tragic scene. The heartbreaking news spread quickly among those who knew her.
Surveillance footage from the building reportedly shows Whittier leaving early that morning with his face covered and carrying a box. Police arrested him shortly afterward, and he now faces charges including homicide and tampering with evidence.
People who knew Pamela describe her as a quiet, kind woman who enjoyed simple activities and valued peace. Her death has left the community shocked, especially because the attack came after she tried to help someone she barely knew.
