Fresh claims involving ODM figures Catherine Omanyo and Edwin Sifuna have emerged on social media, attracting reactions from Kenyans.
In a statement attributed to Omanyo, she claimed that Sifuna had previously been sending her romantic messages, despite her making it clear that she was not interested in having a romantic relationship with him.
According to the statement circulating online, Omanyo claimed that she had called on Kenyans to intervene after what she described as continued messages from the Nairobi Senator.
She further claimed that Sifuna has since stopped sending the alleged romantic messages and had asked for forgiveness.
The claims have continued to generate discussion on social media, with Kenyans sharing different reactions to the statement attributed to the ODM official.
Omanyo and Sifuna have previously been at the centre of political disagreements within ODM. Omanyo served as Sifuna's deputy before taking over as acting Secretary General following his removal from the position in February 2026.
However, the specific claims about romantic messages and an alleged apology should be treated as claims attributed to Omanyo unless independently confirmed by the parties involved.
Kenyans are now waiting to see whether Sifuna will respond to the allegations.
