Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has said that she is not desperate for political positions despite her interest in securing a political seat.
Speaking on Thursday, as reported by Kenyans.co.ke, Nyamu addressed the issue of politicians seeking elective positions ahead of the upcoming elections.
In her remarks, Nyamu said she is not desperate for a political position, contrasting herself with some of her colleagues whom she claimed have put up banners across the country as they seek political seats.
The senator appeared to suggest that her pursuit of a political seat should not be interpreted as desperation, maintaining that there is a difference between expressing interest in a position and aggressively campaigning for it.
